The Michigan Municipal League and its partner network of urban innovators and advocates for cities published a list of eight areas that communities must address to be competitive in the new economy. The list was the result of pain staking research, conversations, demographic analysis and trends for the future. Many of the eight are straight forward (education, for example) while others are less intuitive ( like cultural economic development). When combined, they provide a great recipe for quality of life AND economic prosperity.
Check out the list and let me know what you think.
