Are you looking to learn from, and share with, scores of passionate people doing cutting edge work in cities all over the globe? If so, check out Placemaking Week in Amsterdam this coming October and join with this remarkable set of urban designers, health advocates, transport professionals. local officials, business leaders and urban geeks.
The brainchild of the New York City based Project for Public Spaces this gathering will build off the success of 2016’s event in Vancouver and will include placemaking leaders from around the globe. This year’s conference is also supported by Stipo- the City at Eye Level, Placemaking Plus, and Pakhuis de Zwijger. Amsterdam was selected as the location for the gathering because it “truly embodies the four themes of our conference: Placemaking and Innovation; Equity, Health and Well-Being; Streets as Places & Transportation; and Place-Led Development & City Making.”
I, along with my colleagues, will be presenting our little piece of the story to the attendees as well.
